How we move it

Plantation to mill,
mill to market.

Forestry freight in southern Africa runs on two stages. Plantation to mill: roundwood, pulpwood logs, and short-cut wood move from active plantations in the Eastern Highlands, eMpumalanga, and Manica province to the chip mills, pulp plants, and sawmills that process them. Mill to market: sawn timber, plywood, particleboard, paper rolls, and pulp move to the construction trade, the packaging industry, and the regional and export markets.

We run log carriers, flatbeds, and tautliners depending on the format. Plantation freight is often off-pavement — the loading site is on a forestry road, not a sealed depot — and we plan for that with the right tyres and the right driver experience.

For sustainably-certified forestry clients we maintain FSC and PEFC chain-of-custody documentation on consignments — the seal numbers and paperwork that protect the certification at the next handover.
