Tobacco

Auction floor to port — Zimbabwe’s golden leaf.

Tobacco is Zimbabwe’s biggest agricultural export earner, and its logistics are unlike any other crop — everything funnels through the Harare auction and contract floors, then out to the world via Beira. Wyvern runs the whole chain: farm to floor, floor to processor, processor to port. Select a stage to see how it moves.

Cured green leaf in bales from the farms to the Harare floors (TSF, Boka, Premier) and contract depots — robust haulage on rural roads, enclosed against the weather.

Season, compliance & handling

Season & compliance

  • Seasonal clock — selling season Mar–Sep, peaking at the floor opening; early booking guarantees enclosed trailers and priority loading
  • TIMB compliance — Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board documentation from farm registration through auction to export
  • Export documentation — TIMB export permits, ZIMRA customs clearance and ECTS sealing for Mozambique transit

Handling & security

  • Clean, dry, enclosed — moisture- and contamination-sensitive leaf; trailers inspected clean and sealed against weather every load
  • High-value security — processed and packed tobacco is high-value; GPS tracking and sealing on export loads
  • Priority floor loading — scheduled slots at the Harare floors during peak season so your leaf isn’t waiting for transport
