Trailers & vehicles

Choosing the right trailer.

Matching the trailer to the cargo, packaging, route, and handling requirements.

Common options include flatbed trailers, sliding curtain trailers, enclosed trailers, refrigerated trailers, freezer trailers, tipper trailers, side tipper trailers, lowbed trailers, container or skeletal trailers, car carriers, timber trailers, and small distribution trucks.

Sliding curtain trailers or enclosed trailers are often suitable for palletised cargo because they offer protected movement and efficient loading or unloading.

Tipper trailers or side tipper trailers are commonly used for loose bulk cargo such as sand, gravel, aggregates, ore, coal, chrome, soil, rubble, and other bulk materials.

Lowbed trailers are commonly used for heavy or oversized machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rollers, crushers, drilling rigs, transformers, generators, and abnormal cargo.

Refrigerated trailers, freezer trailers, or reefer containers may be used depending on whether the cargo needs chilled, frozen, or temperature-controlled movement.

Enclosed or box trailers are suitable for cargo that needs protection from weather, dust, visibility, or handling damage. This can include healthcare products, technology equipment, documents, fashion stock, and sensitive project cargo.

Container or skeletal trailers are commonly used for cargo packed into shipping containers, including imports, exports, port-linked cargo, and regional container movement.
