Governance and accountability

Clear standards for how we work, who they apply to and what happens when they are not met.

Responsible operations start with clear accountability

Governance at Wyvern Freight is set out in published policies: what is expected, who it applies to and how concerns are handled. No delivery deadline, customer demand or commercial objective justifies unlawful, dishonest or unsafe conduct.

The rules our work must follow

Cross-border road freight is regulated at every step. These are the compliance responsibilities set out in our Code of Ethics.

Read the Code of Ethics

We are expected to comply with

  • Road laws and transport regulations in every country a load passes through
  • Customs, trade, sanctions and border-control requirements, including those administered by SARS and ZIMRA
  • Anti-corruption law in South Africa and Zimbabwe
  • Competition law in South Africa, Zimbabwe and the regional markets we serve
  • Data protection under POPIA and Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act
  • Accurate invoices, customs documents and shipment records

Risk is managed before freight moves

Every movement follows one operating thread: the cargo is scoped, hazards on the route and at each site are assessed, and the vehicle, documents and people are aligned before dispatch. Unresolved concerns are escalated before the truck leaves. Higher-risk and abnormal loads need a more detailed plan, and incidents feed back into how the next load is planned.
